Launching TechnoLegal

I am proud to announce the launch of TechnoLegal, a blog dedicated to issues at the intersection of technology and the law.

Tech has always been a pillar of my world, and I am excited to bring to you this new outlet to share my thoughts.

Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated by technology and its impact on our daily lives. It started with turning cardboard boxes into play laptops. Then it evolved from playing snake on my grandfather's Palm Pilot to playing Labyrinth on his first generation iPhone. Eventually this passion led to jailbreaking my first iPod Touch to install all the latest themes and tweaks. It was all but a foregone conclusion that I would be voted "Most Tech Savvy" out of my high school graduating class. Today, I am a technology and intellectual property attorney at Wilftek representing clients from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

Turning to TechnoLegal, there are still several open questions – how often I post and what types of content will continue to evolve as this platform develops. What I do know is that from consumer tech to emerging tech, no topic is out of bounds. Certainly, there will be plenty of content on blockchain and artificial intelligence. On occasion, I may even tie in additional insights rooted in cognitive science and philosophy... after all, how else would I revisit Searle's Chinese Room thought experiment from the lens of generative AI in 2024?

I look forward to using this platform to share my thoughts on these exciting topics. I am also looking forward to having other attorneys and thinkers in this industry join from time to time as contributing writers. I can't wait for what's to come.
